Dead Stock Fabric
Deadstock is the left over fabric that is unused by either a brand or fabric mill and would otherwise be going to land fill or storage. There can be many reasons why it may not be used for example it could have been dyed the wrong colour for its intended use or simply over ordered for a particular production run.
As a result of this deadstock fabrics are available in much smaller quantities and once they are gone you rarely see the exact same fabric again. While this could be seen as an issue for larger brands, on a small scale this adds a nice exclusivity when you purchase an item on such a limited production run!
As our deadstock pieces may be limited to as few as 5-10 finished garments per fabric the care information will be hand written on an accompanying tag. This is to avoid printing excess care labels and to reduce waste, as it is impossible to print them on such a small scale.

Bamboo (Silk) Viscose
Our 100% Bamboo (silk) Viscose is purchased through the Organic Textile Company a family run Fabric Company based in Wales.
The Bamboo is grown in wild farms situated in Sichuan in mid China which is the most suitable climate for the bamboo plant to grow naturally without chemicals used. It is certified organic and made in an eco-friendly closed loop production process using eco-friendly reactive colour dyes.
The Bamboo Viscose is made in Liahren one of the leading ECO Fabric factories in China, founded in 2008 it is a very modern factory which is Intertek inspection certified. The Bamboo fibre production lines are closed loop production systems, which mean that the waste chemicals used to break down the Bamboo into pulp are recycled and reused to protect the environment as much as possible.
Once the fabric is made it is shipped to the UK rather than flown which is the most eco-friendly mode of transport, it travels very slowly emitting far less pollution than flying or driving.
